Data-Driven Decision Making

Everything regarding your child's education should be designed with a meaningful purpose.   VHS administers benchmark testing four times and AIMS testing one time a year to provide data to parents, teachers and administrators necessary to achieve the following purposes:

     •  Make important decisions pertaining to each child’s education
     •  Offer valuable teaching recommendations for your child
     •  Identify strengths or gaps in your child’s education
     •  Ensure that each child is progressing to their full potential
     •  Create milestone opportunities for personal evaluation and celebration
     •  Help students develop test-taking and life skills 
     •  Evaluate curriculum, pacing, and instruction to help VHS staff make decisions to keep improving

Parents are provided tips and support to prepare their children for the testing experience so it is a positive one.
