VHS teachers regularly communicate with parents and students and offer one-on-one and group online tutoring; regular phone and online conferencing; and prompt assignment feedback.  Our teachers take the time to make each child’s learning experience the best that it can be.

Wherever you are in the Verde Valley, VHS is only minutes away.  VHS is a program under Sequoia Choice Arizona Distance Learning in Mesa, Arizona that is specifically tailored to the home-based learning community in the Verde Valley with teachers and staff who live in the Verde Valley.​



Provided Materials


VHS provides choice in what your child needs to be successful.  VHS provides the finest curriculum to each family.If additional curriculum or supplies are needed,    families can take advantage of our reimbursement policy that allows for curricular choice, purchase of technology, and the subsidizing of extra-curricular activities.  Parents are encouraged to read our reimbursement policy and ask questions if  clarification is needed.  Please check out our reimbursement policy.

On-Line or Book Work

When families begin to consider VHS for their students they often wonder if their child's education is going to be delivered through books or online.  At VHS your child's learning can come from the source that best fits the individual strengths of your child.  Most of our students use some of both.  The design that best fits your child is determined early in your child's enrollment and with the guidance of your child's teacher.
